  • How do i do volumetric light in houdini using Vray fog?

    Hello!

I´am trying to do a volume light in Houdini but i dont know how to do it. I know how to do it in Vray for Maya, but not in Houdini. Could somebody help me? I´m leaving an image below that i found online as a reference for what i am intending to do.

    HI moises_penamoreira,

In the /OUT context and an environment node and in there add a fog node (just drop the node in, no connections needed), then just link the environment node to the Environment slot of your ROP node.

Hey! Thank you man! But, do you know how can i apply fog to be emitted from one specific light? I am sending an image below. The first image is the atmosphere pass showing the fog being emitted just from the lampshade that i did in Maya and Vray. The second one is my final render. I dont want fog in my whole scene, just in one light. How can i do this?

        Hey again,

Just change the Light Mode in the Fog node to Selected Lights and add the lights you want there.
