    Hello sbastien_levieux

PBR ( Physically-Based Rendering ) is a shading workflow that allows Artists to simulate a physically correct interaction between shadows and light from a real-life environment and their 3D models.

The main categories that are used in V-Ray for Houdini are Diffuse, Reflection, Refraction, Translucency, Metalness (with physically correct IOR), Fresnel, Bump. More about each one of them you could find here: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRAYH...V-Ray+Material

Additionally I am sending you our article for V-Ray PBR Workflow so you can get familiar with the different maps that PBR requires and how to match them in V-Ray: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/a...y-PBR-Workflow

Please, let me know if you or your students have any specific questions that I can help with.
