  • length and range

Hi, I would like to use the velocity of the particules sim to use it in the shader, with mantra I can use a user_data node for the V atttribute and connect it to a length node and range node...
I am note sure I can do the same with Vray shader...

    Hello,

Yes, you can absolutely do that - you can use a "User Color" or "User Float" VOP to sample any attribute on your geometry, whether that's mesh, hair or particle data makes no difference.

    Best regards!

Hello, thank you for your feedback, what do you think of my setup? The Vray TexUserScalar float is for only 1 value? I am not sure it will work
