Everytime I create a new Vray renderer node, my VFB layers are reset, and even if I roll back to the previous renderer node, they are missing. I have to reload the file. So my question is... where is this info stored? For example, to be shared across several renderer nodes, or even, have individual overwrites.

VFB Layers, where are they saved?

Layers are stored at the hidden parameter of the ROP node every time you save the scene.Last edited by bdancer; 07-02-2025, 12:29 AM.

I see, would it be possible to somehow expose it so we can link it to other ROPs? For example, if I have a single file with multiple shots at SOP level, it would be very pratical to share the VFB layers among all of them. Yes, I could always save the tree preset and load into the others, it's more like a QOL feature right now.

Well, I'm not sure how well linking will work, but it's just a hidden parameter called "_vfb2_layers".
