No opensubdiv option object property

So i have missing option in H 487 vray 7, and there is no access to houdini nightly, now what do i do?
Also cosmos stopped working out of the blue. when i click i get an error "Qt Error: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0"
i am in the middle of a project and all this is very unwelcomed

OpenSubdiv was deprecated in some V-Ray 7 beta build long before V-Ray 7 release.

Indeed, as Andrei has mentioned above, the OpenSubdiv functionality was deprecated a while ago. You could add Displacement properties to your SOP node and enable "Render as Subdivision" to achieve the same result.



I'll check what might be going wrong with Cosmos - it appears to function as expected on my end so may I suggest trying to disable and then re-enable to Cosmos browser service, in case that is the culprit?

You could send our support team a ticket and they'll be able to quickly assist with access to the nightly builds. I'd definitely recommend sticking to the stable builds though - especially if in the middle of a project.The nightly builds are used by our QA team internally as well so it's not impossible for these to contain fixes that haven't yet been tested by a real person.

thank you, i figured out how to make subd work,
As for cosmos, i really do not know what happened, all was working fine and it simply stopped working with that error code coming up. I did try to stop and restart the server but no luck, i also tried to reinstall vray as well.
I do not have any special package installed for houdini.
I got access to nighlty i will try a newer version and keep you posted

nothing is working, all shelf tool are working but cosmos, i updated to the latest nightly. could it be related to a browser issue, permission or else? anything you might think of so i can look into it.

I can see the service working as well, i suspect the window could appear outside the screen, tho i cant see any extra window when windows+tab
i tried H 522, 550, windows update, reinstall vray. removed my 20.5 folder docs, remove all other package.

I changed the display position from display setting and of course cosmos was just there
Maybe a small option to reset cosmos position could be useful.
