I have a setup with multiple ROPs, each ROP use different camera, different render settings.
Seems like the IPR functionality with VBF or V-Ray toolbar is broken and only one IPR can render/launch, and that`s the one that was created fist.
- Even when i create multiple IPR nodes and points each to it`s own ROP, i does not work.
- Running IPR from the V-Ray toolbar, will always run only that first IPR/main render, no way to select which one i want to run.
- A way to run different ROP is to select it in OUT context and press render to disk. Then the correct VFB appears. i stop the render and launch IPR from the VFB. But will also not render the correct IPR, but it will switch again to that first IPR, so that`s broken too.
- managing multiple IPRs from Houdini render view tab can work, but it`s pita, managing two windows/systems at the same time...
If i may suggest, take a look how effectively this was solved in Redshift for Houdini. It`s pleasure to work with, you can select what ever camera or ROP you need, don`t have to close/launch VFB again, it`s just works, it`s very fluid.
