  • vdb volumes and vrscene

Looks like my vdb volumes are not saved on on vrscene export. Is there something i`m missing or it`s a bug?

Attaching simple file of loading pighead density volume from disk as vdb, and exporting vrscene.
When i check the vrscene file, object is not written there(tiny file), Also no reference to vdb file in there.

    vray_adv_42090_houdini17.5.293_02be50d_5543 , exported from 17.5.391

I think it would make sense to allow referencing vdb files in vrscene file, same way as we can do with alembics, proxies etc.

Hi psanitra , because of the some recent optimizations, volumes without shader are not exported/backed. In order to reduce vrscene size and accelerate export, attributes which are not used by any shaders are also not exported.
