  • Material Texture on Fractured Obj not working with Motion Blur

    I have a simple scene with a RBD Material Fractured Object and a Vray Material COmplex with a Bump Map. When the camera Motion Blur is on, the bump texture only sticks while the fractured pieces are together. As soon as the pieces come apart, the bump map is disabled. This does not happen when the Motion Blur is off.

    Please help me to identify the issue.

    System:
    Vray--vray_adv_41203_houdini17.5.293_21bc157_6029_instal l_windows (1).zip
    Houdini--17.5.391
    Windows 10

      Hi again maxtrks28 , this seems to work as expected. Just refraction is disabled so the bump is clearly visible. What OS, Houdini and V-Ray build you are using.

        thank you for looking into it, it had to be the version before "vray_adv_41203_houdini17.5.293_21bc157_6029".

        In the last week i went thru several versions of vray:

        the first one (don't have the version number now) had issue with the bump texture and motion blur.

        The next, (vray_adv_41203_houdini17.5.293_21bc157_6029), bump and motion blur are fine, but GPU LightSelect does not work.

        The last one, (vray_adv_43000_houdini17.5.460_08b56ea_6109), bump/motion blur work, GPU LightSelect work, BUT, ObjectProperties does not work.

        I think all of the above had issue with CPU refraction and MaterialComplex, which Gosho.Genchev said is caused by MaterialComplex.
