Hqueue issues

HQueue won't save any vray renders.

It tries to do just the first frame of the frame range and then doesn't save any images.

It says it is successful which makes me feel positive....

This is reported to SideFX, but not resolved yet.
The only way to make it work is by patching hqueue scripts...

Yep I read through the docs.
It indicates you can change some files if you want to use the copy project functionality. I am not running the HIP file from the shared folder so I didn't think I needed to do that?

Alright, could you please check if V-Ray is even loaded when you submit the file for rendering, as shown here:

I suspect the Warning from your log is because of the missing "else if" statement for the V-Ray Renderer node.

As bdancer mentioned, 3-rd party renderers are currently not officially supported so some hacking is required to get things to work.

Setting up HQ through VPN was ... an interesting experience.

Anyway, got it working with the environment setup from the docs page above. I copied everything, pasted it into a text editor and replaced all colons ':' with semi-colons ';' for Windows.

Here's my file - it's working on my end. Could you please replace the VFH_ROOT variable value according to your setup and try to render it ?

If it's also good for you, you may want to save it as a preset from the Gear icon on the Parameters editor.
