  • [HOU-1941] volume opacity curve problem

Hi, I have problem with volume opacity ramp. Actually it looks like it does not save edited curve. When I adjust opacity curve and close opacity window, next time I open opacity window, curve is messed up.
Here is an example. Lets say this is adjusted opacity curve:

And, next time I open it to readjust curve, I got this:

    Hey,

that's been a known issue for a while - it happens when the tangents for the control points are not linear. It would be a hassle to solve so we were waiting to see if anyone actually hits it - if people don't use this, there's no point investing long hours into fixing it.

I was actually thinking we could drop those curves and use Houdini's native ramp parameters. The drawback would be that you don't get a green overlay showing the channel ranges for the rendered volume. It'd be great to hear your opinion on this.

    Best regards!

Yes, I think that houdini native ramp would be even better choice. Even for the color ramps, for smoke and fire color, I believe that houdini ramps will suite better.
