  • embded texture in HDA opdef

    Hello,

    I'm trying to build an HDA with Embded textures.
    Everything is ok until i use Vray to load the embded texture that we call with :
    opdef:.?mytexturefile.jpg

    it's loading the texture with Mantra or with attribut from map. But not with Vray Image file.

    There is a way to make it work ?

    I'll check with SideFX if there is an API for that.
    If not - then it won't be possible.

      Nice ! I hope there is one . I'm doing an HDA for look dev with a Macbeth texture. If i need to link the map everytimes it's not so sexy

        Just a note that if this will be possible I'll have to write this texture as raw binary stream into the vrscene file...

          I went through the same exact thing a couple of weeks ago, trying to embbed a mcbetch texture into an HDA, I just assumed it wasn't possible with vray and just defaulted to use a network location.
