  • Dome light causing render error.

So in this scene I have 3 rec lights (not the source of the issue) and 2 dome lights.
With the 2 dome lights there is some conflict (I was initially quickly setting it up so I could have 2 render elements one with sun and one without).

I have resorted to comping the 2 hdrs in COPs and using 1 x hdri light and the problem disappears.

This is just for your info, no fix needed for me...

Also just to clarify the error shows only in one of the dome light render elements.

Hi Jim Meston , is this happen only in DR or when render locally as well?
Is this happen with only one HDR ?
Can you output a DR element and check if light areas are corresponding to particular server?
Can you try to change Light Evaluation Mode to "Full Lights Evaluation", from V-Ray ROP > Renderer > Options > Lights ?
Can you send me the scene ?
    my e-mail is georgy.chakarov@chaosgroup.com

You can see from the image that the DR buckets do not align with the render error, all of the buckets take part in the error.
I will try to get a scene sorted for you as soon as I have time.
