  • (Resolved) [HOU-2217] URGENT - Light selects and Fog

    Hi,

    We got an issue here with VRay fog and light selects.
    When using textures in the VRay fog the light selects stop having the fog in them, before the texture all good, light selects contain fog. See attached test scene.

    Gosho.Genchev or bdancer, this has some urgency for us, if possible can we get this fixed?

    Hey,

    One more thing on the Vray Fog, IPR renders are always getting broken (fog disappears) when performing changes to the scene, eg: shader parameters, light parameters, etc.

        information from the development team - this is not implemented. We're checking if it would be possible to do it but unfortunately it will take some time.

        May I suggest using the Volume Grid shader on a bounding volume around your scene instead ? It's slower than the V-Ray Fog but should do the job in case texturing the color is a definite requirement.

          Ok, that explains it, we will switch our approach on this one to a volume. But would be great to have the fog working with the light slects, as you said the render speed is better. Btw, we were using the color instead of the density because the result is very similar but it was faster using color.
