  • (Resolved) General Velocity workflows

I am rendering a LARGE number of vrscenes, vray proxies and packed alembics in a large environment build, I've just enabled the Velocity render element. Is there anything I need to do to the camera, prepare the geometry, or set in the ROP besides the Render Element in order to see values in the velocity pass in the VFB? Just asking before I break this scene down to figure out what does and doesn't work.

    Cheers

On the objects that load the geometry, you need to set the motion blur to use the velocity attribute

By this do you mean the built-in Houdni Geometry Velocity Blur attribute, or is there a VRay User Attr I need to add?

Followup question - does the velocity blur take camera movement into account? Is there anything I need to do to enable that?

I have my answer on the camera blur - physical camera, disable motion blur, enable on ROP.
