  • VFB Pixel Aspect correction

    Hi,

    The "Use Pixel Aspect" option in the VFB is not working, in the example I have set the pixel aspect ratio of the camera to 2.0 and in the VFB the option is grayed out. Should it always be available like in V-Ray 4.3? If it's 1.0 does nothing, anything else it works.
    Also, not even the camera resolution override in the ROP works.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately for now the new frame buffer doesn't support pixel aspect ratios other than 1. It is in our TODO list (internal ID VMAX-10610) to fix it.

      Hi, Yavor, thanks for the reply.

      This is a pretty big omission for V-Ray 5 since it is now out of beta. We seem to always have a project in the works that requires anamorphic pixels so we do need this working before making the push to V-Ray 5, any idea when this can happen?

          I have an upcoming small job that is anamorphic.
          Will be very good to have it in the VFB.

            Sorry for the delayed replies.
            The feature is already implemented in the core and hopefully it will get to the Houdini nightlies soon.

                Two months passed since i got the update that this feature was finally implemented, and I just tested with today's builds and it's still not there. Can you check the status on this, why is it still not implemented in VFH?
