I have some scenes since some month where i'm not able to render all the animations frames with Buckets rendering.
But it's work with progressive.
The issues i have is 2 differents behavior.
1, When rendering frames, at a random frame it's just close everything, vray frame buffer AND houdini.
2, the other one one behavior, always at a random frame, one or more buckets ar rendering forever . I have to send Kill signal to houdini and vray frame buffer to stop them.
1 scene is some jewels i modeled and send renders of variations. many vray render nodes of 3 frame, each frame are changing the gold colors. renders nodes calling différents meshes. It's crash/close at random render node. all jewells are cached in bgeo.sc.
The other scene is many Hairs growings on a head. Even hairs are cached or not in Bgeo.sc it's stills render rando bucket at random frames forever . need to send kill signal to everything .
that's not a need of more ram, i have more than needed for thoose scenes.
It's strange that's is not seems to happen in progressive render.
My computer is a 3990X with 256go ram
Pop!OS 20.10 up to date
vray nightly build 50x to 51003 same issues.
Houdini 18.5.499 and 18.5.532 same issues.
RTX 2080 up to date but not used at render.
System is on ssd nvme. Working space is also on nvme, a different one.
I have no error message or warning.
