Hi,
I struggled the whole weekend with a displacement problem. I'm using some mixed TriPlanars and the result is that the mesh gets torn, thousands of (micro) holes. I tried to fiddle around with these options:
- With and without displacement shift (small negative values)
- Displacement edge length
- Normals in all variations
- Cranking up the base resolution of the mesh to insane values
- Used only 1 TriPlanar (no mix of many) and set the texture blur to 1 to get that smoothed out
The only thing that works: Lowering the resolution of the mesh and smoothing it out while loosing too much detail. That is not an option. So how can I get rid of this?
