Just a fast post, to hopefully smooth out the volume grid implementation. I am using Houdini 19.0.657 and trying to render volumes. As a side note, I couldn't get the aur convert SOP to actually export converted aur from vdb. But I got my volumes converted and loaded with the volumeGrid SOP. Everything looks good in the viewport, but it will only render if the object is visible at the object level. I use forced objects for my ROPs and have minimal objects displayed. But I couldn't get it to render without having the actual object visible. I even tried adding the Vray object attributes to get it to render without needing to be visible. But it didn't work. If I toggled the render flag in the same object to the vdb and assigned a material with density mapped (instead of the Smoke_phx mapping for the aur render) it would render as expected without needing to make the object visible.
