  • vrscene file saved from max , renders differently across different computer

normal map renders differently across multiple computer, it's a typical maxtree model, exported as vrscene, imported into houdini, unpacked mesh and material, if I plug the leaf normal texture to diffuse color port(to make sure every computer read the map the same) , the render are not flickering, but once it pluged into normal port, different computers will render different result. sorry there are no attachmet, I tried to upload it but failed.
    ------------------------
after many tests, I find that, if the vrscene is not unpacked it will not flicker, but unpacking is very much needed, because the tree material need modification to support forest variation and animation or simulation.

Then we'll need vrscene file to fix the import (I suppose smth missing in material import).

thank you for the fast fix@bdancer, I downloaded the latest version 22265 from 1st feb, the normal map flickering issue still exist, I sent the scene by email, please take a look. my temperary work around is pluging diffuse as bump map , and set the material bump mode to bump.
