  • Houdini Tri Planer Rest Issue Cpu and GPU

I have looked and haven't found a fix. I cannot get the textures to stick to the geo as expected with the tri planer. Not sure if its an issue with my setup for a Vray issue.
Any help or direction would be awesome,
    Thanks

    Hi mike_jag,

You've added rest position to you mesh, now you just need to tell the tri-planar to use it.

You need to do 1 of 2 things here
    - Set the rest position in the object properties (setting the reference coordinates of the object with the V-Ray object properties).

    - Or just plug in a "userColor" node with the rest into your tri-planar map.

Make sure you use both rest and rest normals with the tri-planar mapping for the best result.

    Best,
    David.

This is the preferred way, we'll remove "rest position in the object properties" for the next major update.
