I used Maya to export a USD file of a mesh with V-Ray materials/textures. The USD file looks great when imported back into Maya (Screenshot 1), but the textures have a problem when it's imported into Houdini (Screenshot 2). USDPreviewSurface looks good in Houdini but V-Ray renders have the tiling/scaling problem that you can see in the attached Houdini screenshot. I have tried many different methods of import, and tried changing UV scaling. Nothing seems to work. I also tried renaming the UV Sets as recommended in the V-Ray docs.

Does anybody from V-Ray even read these posts?
Exporting materials to USD from Maya to Houdini is totally broken.
Exporting materials with .vrscene then manually reassigning them is the only thing I've found that actually works. I wasn't even able to fix it by automating that with a Python script. I have to use a Material Library and/or Material Assign node.

If you could send us some scene files it'll be great.
