  • Motion Blur Issue on Specific Frame in V-Ray for Houdini

    Hi,
I'm using V-Ray for Houdini, and I'm encountering a strange issue with motion blur.

The motion blur appears dispersed (as shown in the attached image) on frame 100, but all other frames render fine.

I’ve tried restarting the project, clearing the cache, and running the simulation again, but the problem persists specifically on frame 100. I also checked if there were any keyframes on the motion blur settings for that frame, but there aren’t any.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello akinari_konno Thank you for sharing!

Could you, please, let us know the versions of Houdini ( Help > About Houdini ) and V-Ray for Houdini ( V-Ray > About V-Ray ) that you are using?
Does this happen only in this specific scene? Have you tried to reproduce it with a new, simple one?

It would be very helpful if you could share a scene with us so we can investigate it. Please, pack it ( V-Ray > Pack Scene ) and attach it either here on the Forum or submit it via our system: Submit a request

Hi akinari_konno As we already discussed, the situation has been caused by the Motion Blur > Duration (Frame) parameter. If you set the value to 1 everything works as expected.

I have logged the issue into our system [HOU-4526] to be looked into. We will let you know when additional information is available.
