  • Can't get Instancer to render

I can't get the Instancer to render in even the most basic of setups. It works in the HoudiniGL, Storm and Karma viewports, but not VRay. Perhaps I'm missing something.

See attached scene of some instanced cubes.

    HFS: 19.5.640
    VRay: 6.1.09.22585

      Well, good for you .

This is what I'm seeing. I missed them at first, since I had the grid off, but with the grid enabled you can kinda see the cubes are there - blocking the grid - but just completely unshaded somehow.

As mentioned, the other 3 viewport options (GL, storm, karma) display the shaded cubes. Perhaps it's something with the exact build/environment I'm using then?

Just to close out the issue - it was indeed tied to a specific (range of?) VRay build(s). 6.1.09.22585 shows the issue, while earlier and later builds work as expected (confirmed in 6.1.09.22595+).
