  • (Fixed) [HOU-4131] Disable VFB auto-launch

Is there a setting or environment variable that prevents the VRay VFB from auto-launching?

    Code:
    HFS: 20.0.506
    Platform: linux-x86_64-gcc9.3
    V-Ray # 22640

If you haven't enabled it in the render settings - it won't be shown. It's never enabled by default.

Aha interesting. It seems to be disabled but the window still keeps popping up. I'll check if something else has gone wrong on my end.

It'll be shown if those are set:
        1. vray:vfb:settings_dir (or VFU_VFB_SETTINGS_DIR env var)
        2. vray:vfb:settings_file_name (or VFU_VFB_SETTINGS_FILE_NAME env var)
        3. vray:vfb:show_in_batch

Not sure why, but activating any of the V-Ray-->Options-->Volumetrics fields (switching the parms from "Do Nothing" to "Set or Create") in the Render Settings immediately triggers the VFB for me.

          It's these, I believe?
          Code:
          xn__vraySettingsOptions_probabilistic_vol_on_control
          xn__vraySettingsOptions_probabilistic_vol_samples_control
          xn__vraySettingsOptions_probabilistic_vol_gi_samples_control

Thank you for the steps, Dan.

It was reproduced and logged in our system.
Our dev team is working on it.

            Best regards,
            TS

                Hey Dan,

We've resolved the issue with today's nightly builds. Due to how the UI is generated in Solaris, you'll need to re-create the Render Settings LOP once you grab a newer build.

                Best regards!
