release_notes.txt not being updated?

The release_notes text file lists basically 0 updates since sometime back in April (apart from regular "(*) V-Ray: Add support for Houdini 20.0.* entries).

This is the file I'm looking at: /vray6houdini/stable/6.2/20240801/release_notes_22733.zip

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hey Dan Andersen ,

Changes coming from the V-Ray Core are not automatically added in the changelog. The last time we tried to find a solution, it turned out to be rather cumbersome. It's definitely something we'd like to improve but for now - this is the explanation.

Hey Gosho.Genchev , thanks for the info. Is there any available log that lists the Core changes, or is that kept internal?

I'm afraid it's not possible at the moment - the V-Ray Standalone nightly/stable builds have a backlog but we'd ocasionally only pull specific changes for the Houdini builds - thus it won't give you the full picture. We'll simply have to find a solution for this.
