  • Vray only uses one processor when viewport rendering

I have a dual xeon computer and I noticed that vray only uses one of the processors when viewport rendering, I can't seem to find a setting for this? Or is it an environment variable?

    Hey RichardBlank

Does that happen in a simple scene, e.g. a cube and a dome light?
As to the actual question - there are two ways to limit the CPU usage - the Render Settings -> Options -> Rendering -> "Render Threads" parameter, or the "VRAY_NUM_THREADS" environment variable.

If none of these are present, and the behavior persists in a simple scene, could you please share your PC configuration and exact V-Ray build (the information can be found under V-Ray top menu -> About V-Ray -> Copy to Clipboard).

    Best regards
