  • Render Geometry settings LOP not working on instances

    I scattered some rocks using the point instancer in Solaris. I want to matte another object with them but it seems like the Point Instancer primitive doesn't get affected by the render geometry settings node. Is this a common limitation? If so is there a workaround that doesn't involve forcing the point instancer to use references (very slow for big scatters)

    Seems like disabling the "Make Instanceable" checkbox on the asset used for scattering fixed the issue

      Are you talking about some V-Ray related settings or USD/Solaris in general?
      If the issue is with some of the V-Ray settings - is it possible to send me .usd/.hip file?

        Hey frame48 ,

        To second Andrei - we'd appreciate a scene where the setup doesn't work - I just tested real quick on my end and there seems to be no issue there.
