Those settings are currently stored per-ROP node.

So they should remain i guess when i reopen the scene and render from the same rop node which it dont right now. Exposure for example is stored.

Anyway, I want to make this more usable.
Will it make sense to make this path global (non-scene-or-rop dependent) in general?
Or make this configurable?

+1 for this path to be stored globally (user prefs?)
agree with blented, i think this makes more sense to have it configurable per machine user. I think this is how it currently works in vray for maya. we only have to set it once, the first time using vray.

Will be there in the next nightly.
By default history settings will be stored globally.
I've added a new control to store settings at ROP: ROP -> Renderer -> Options -> VFB -> "Store VFB History Settings on ROP" (default off).
There is also a new menu to tweak global history settings: V-Ray -> Global Settings (not sure how it'll be useful though =)
Your current history settings may be lost.
