  • [PHI-4872] lightselect from an emissive volumegrid?

Probably a vray core thing. Is it possible to get lightselects from an emissive volumegrid?

    example scene:

    Hello!

Yup, currently that's not possible. There is already a request in the tracking system for this so I've tagged your post there.

I suppose you are trying to isolate and tweak the illumination from the fire over your scene geometry - currently that should be possible by subtracting a light select element holding all lights (or a composite of all light select elements) from the Beauty (or e.g. Total Lighting). Unless I'm mistaken here, this should give you the illumination from the volume grid only. I'm just throwing suggestions so if that doesn't work for you or you hit a wall trying to set things up, please ping me and I'll try to come up with a solution.

    All the best!

thats what we are currently doing. but would be nice to be able what lights gets in to the lightselect. we have pretty big scene so that pass is sometimes not usable. If LPE are on the way thats a way too.

      Thanks for the answer!
