I would love to have and option to be convert viewport representation of Vray fur procedural to polylines. Ideally if we can just drop a convert SOP and we`ll get the default 8 knot to 8 points per polyline. That would be amazing, thank you!

I've enabled unpack support for fur node and added "Max. Preview Knots" control.
Nurbs curves will be unpacked so you could convert them to polylines later.
Will be available in the next nightly.

I would push my luck a bit more here, but would it be possible to inlude UV attribute from the surface it was generated on?or a field to list attributes to pick from surface?
Why i`m asking, is because doing attribute transfer after the conversion does not work great, because individual hairs might be far away from the hair root and will pick wrong uv/color/or what ever i`m transfering. So i have to work that with some for loops, picking hair root, then promoting up etc. Long story short, it would help to have uv transfer directly if found

Hello again psanitra , I don't know when this will be implemented in VFH , but manage to build a simple setup to sample attributes form mesh to V-Ray Fur unpacked curves. It is based on Entagmas knitting tutorial. Check if this work for you.Attached Files

Hello Dubbie99 , I am not sure if you ask for this kind of solution, but here an example of sampling uvs and color from mesh, and a taper. Be sure V-Ray Hair Properties are assigned at geo node and with Width Mult = 1.
