  • Texture Baker - No Lights render mode

Hello, idea for the VRay texture baker chakarov.

Could we get a "No lights render" mode on the texture backer. For baking shaders down to textures you really don't need lights, all you need is to get the render elements with anti-aliasing, and you can achieve that by enabling the "Consider for AA" on the render elements, this makes your texture baking run considerably faster. This can be done by hand of course by going to the BakerRop network and change what you need, but would be nice to get just a checkbox to do it

A "No light render" switch would:
    - Remove * from the "useLights" parameter.
    - Disable Headlight creation.
    - Enable "Consider for AA" in all necessary render elements.

    Best,
    David.

Hello david.anastacio , the option you requested is now available in Renderer tab of V-Ray BakerTool, it's called "Disable Lighting". Basically it ignores all the lights in the scene including default ones. Also toggle for "Consider for Anti-Aliasing" is added for some elements in Output tab.

Hi again, upon further testing I noticed the main elements to output are still not considered in AA. Switches were added to the not so relevant elements when baking a shader, like AO, World position, and custom Attributes, when the ones we really need when baking shaders are the Surface, Reflect and Refract elements.
Could you also set AA for this elements? Or was there any reason you chose not to put AA on this ones? The AA switch can be off/invisible by default and only be revealed when you check "Disable Lighting" in the Renderer tab.

        Best,
        David.
