  • V-Ray 5 for Maya, Update 2.1 now available

    We've released V-Ray 5, Update 2.1 with a number of improvements and bug fixes.
    The builds are available to download on the Chaos website.

    On the USD side, V-Ray 5 for Maya, Update 2.1 brings you support for both exporting light texture files as well as for exporting VRayDisplacement.

    Additionally, we’ve added an option for controlling whether to project on the back side of your model in VRayDecal and added support for the texture mode of the lens distortion option in Physical Camera on V-Ray GPU. We have also updated the local anisotropy axis for VRayMtl in Viewport 2.0, improved the Cryptomatte implementation to be more precise and added many more improvements and bug fixes.
