V-Ray 5 for Maya, Update 2.2 now available

  • V-Ray 5 for Maya, Update 2.2 now available

    We've released V-Ray 5, Update 2.2 with Maya 2023 support, USD improvements and initial support for the Bifrost Graph with USD.
    There's many other improvements and bug fixes.
    The builds are available to download on the Chaos website.

    Highlights:
    - Maya 2023 support
    - USD support for VDB volumes, hair and particles
    - USD support for selective export of V-Ray materials, including VRayDisplacement and VRaySubdivision
    - USD support for export and import of the V-Ray Physical camera attributes
    - Vantage live-link
    - Adaptive Bucket Splitting

    This release supports MayaUSD up to and incl. 0.16.0. Support for 0.17.0 will be available in the stable builds soon.
