    Hello,

    Beta 4 is on the site. Here are the changes:

    Phoenix FD 2.0 beta 4 (April 26, 2012)
    ============================

    [bug] Issue with non-latin letters in the file names on Windows
    [bug] Different frames rendered with DR while simulating
    [bug] "Merge instances" option for the GPU preview use random file names
    [bug] PhoenixFD don't detect transformation from joints
    [modified feature] Per vertex velocity for the interacting objects
    [modified feature] Adaptive sampling for the emissive lights
    [modified feature] Grid resizing without temporary buffer
    [new feature] Ability to run the dynamics up to the starting frame
    [feature request] Input section to show the start/end cache range


    For huge simulations, Phoenix FD now have an option to preallocate the memory instead of creating a temporary buffers when resizing. The other big feature is DMC sampling of the emissive lights

      awesome, that looks like a major improvement. from over 1 minute to 23 s is fantastic.
      Time to set aside some more nights to test Phoenix!

        Definitely.
        I've gotta shoot a scene, track it and add elements of phoenix as I personally feel it's better to test with specific results in mind (ie - rolling smoke/fire from window etc etc).
