  • Render node license

I already have VRay 3.6 license for studio desktop and thinking of buying a rendernode which has 2x Intel Xeon E5-2680v4 - 2.4GHz 14 Cores/28 total 56HThreads.

If I'm not rendering on my studio PC but just using the VRay interface will the rendernode be able to pick up the studio license for rendering or do I need another render license?

    Cheers

Yes, as long as you're not using both machines at the same time. For exaif you use those in a DR setup, where the local machine is disabled. This way your workstation only exports the scene and the xeon machine renders it. The xeon machine will have to run a vray slave to do that. What's the setup you are after?
