  • VolumeGrid Advection Displacement with Houdini VDB input

    Hey guys,

    I have a Houdini VDB sim with velocity channels being loaded into a VRay Volume Grid in Maya VRay 3.6.04.

    What is the correct procedure to hook this up to get it to add details like the image on the help page.

    I dont have Phoenix installed and I cant see the Advection displacement type , only vector. Do I need Phoenix ?

    Do I use a fluidTexture 3D node somehow for the texture input? I have tried but no results so far...

    Hey,

    You will need PhoenixFD or V-Ray Next in order to use this functionality.
