  • Light exclusion from scatter fog

    Hiya,
Is there a way of excluding a light from environmental scatter fog ?

You need to select the VRayEnvironment Fog and change the "Light Mode" to any of the options that will give you the best result.

Check the online documentation for more details about the "Light Mode": https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...mentFog-Common

      Sorry for the confusion.
I was talking about "VRay Scatter Fog" with the "Environment Fog" checked on.
      Easily confused with VRayEnvironmental Fog"

VRayEnvironmental Fog does have a lot more options indeed, including light exclusion, as you say. There's a "feel" of the Scatter Fog I can't seem to replicate in VrayEnvironmental fog, but never mind that now. Just experiments.

On a side note: it's fabulous that VRayEnvironmental Fog has GPU support in NEXT.
Having said that: the Fade out radius either doesn't seem to work in GPU , or doesn't match the CPU equivalent at the moment.

The VRayScatterFog is simplified volumetric effect and it does not have this capability. You could still try using VRayEnvironmentFog and if you like you could share your results so we could take a look.
