I'm periodically experiencing strange behavior with lights on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Lights will stop displaying as selected in the viewport even when they are, although if a transform tool is active they will still display manipulator handles. If the light's texture (these all have ramps plugged in) is set to not display, these lights will then also sometimes completely disappear from the viewport, i.e. not display a widget at all. This doesn't always affect all lights, so only certain lights will become invisible. Selecting all lights in the hypershade will sometimes clear the problem, sometimes not. I haven't figured out yet what the cause or the fix is. Can you offer any help?

Disappearing and weird rect light behavior on Mac OS

No feedback on this, from anyone? It seems like this might be something to do with viewport filtering. On a related note, why is it that Maya's filtering still classifies Vray lights as locators (pretty sure this was supposed to get fixed)? This does occasionally create workflow annoyances, and I wonder if its related to this weird display behavior.

Hey, sorry for the delay. We somehow missed this thread.
The nodes for our lights are classified as locators, yes and they are filtered with the locator filter in the show menu, there's not other way around this at the moment.
Was that the reason why they disappeared or is there another issue?

I've noticed a lot of interface oddities in Maya on OSX in general. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a maya or OSX issue, and not a v-ray issue.
