  • Any support coming for new cheese grater Mac Pro?

I've searched but can't seem to find a topic on this. Looks like Redshift and Octane have been rewritten for Metal to support the new Mac Pro (I'm assuming Apple paid them a lot for that). Any plans for Chaos Group to support this new platform with V-Ray?

i cannot understand why anyone would want to do cg work on that overpriced monstrosity. you can get a pc of similar power to the full fat 28 core one, for the price of their entry level 8 core model. i guess if you are stuck on osx....

We're looking into ways of supporting GPU rendering on MAC, but we we can't share any time-frames. Our efforts are currently concentrated on RTX support and out-of-core rendering.
At the same time, the regular V-Ray (CPU) should run well on the new MAC Pro machines.
