  • Simplify the fur shading. No self shadows on fur?

    Hello,

    I have somes questions about the fur shading in order to simplify the illumination on my fur system.

    -I would to know how to turn OFF the self shadows of my furs. I want to keep ON receive shadows from others objects and if it possible to keep ON also cast shadows on the others objects.

    -I would to know if I can tell to VRay to consider the fur shape like one big object and no each fur hair like an entity (the result would be that each fur hair doesn't cast shadow on the fur hair neighbour , but another object could cast shadow on this "big
    object fur").

    Do you want to do this in order to get faster renders or for some other reason?

      Hello,
      It's not for the render time. It's a look dev direction. We don't want real aspect on the fur but a more smooth/simply aspect.
      I specify that is a fur system without transparency in the shader. It is not for hair but for grass.
