  • Save a animation with VFB result.

    Hi,
Have a little question... Assuming I don't have any compositing package, I have all the control needed to get the look I want in the V-Ray frame buffer including a LUT. Is there any way at all I can batch render/save an animation with the result/look of the VFB? Thank you.

EDIT: I posted a solution for 3ds Max, my bad.

I'll post an answer after I discuss the matter with our developers.

What image format will you use for an output?

I'd preferably use "png" but anything else would be fine... Except maybe "jpg". Thank you.

To save the color corrections/LUT file in the animation sequence, you would simply need to set an output folder and image format through the 'Image File Output' options in the Common tab of the Render settings and activate Animation rendering. Make sure to open the VFB and check the "Save in image" option in the LUT settings for the LUT to be baked into the image. If using Batch render, however, you would need to download the latest stable V-Ray for Maya build, where color corrections and LUT files can be saved in the image.

Thank you very much Aleksandar! I'll try that. The latest version I have is from July 2019 "41202".
