Set default file format for VFB.

Is there any way to set the default file format to EXR if i save from the VFB by hand?

I had asked this before but I need Jpg option but it was never addressed, it would be nice if the user could set his own default format, is very time consuming when you need to save renders every 10 minutes.

Thanks for the bump.
It's duly noted and it's part of our plans for the near future, along with remembering the last used location, format, etc. Like everything else, it needs some time and effort and has its own rightful place in our list of priorities.

Thanks for the update Alex, still need this feature though , it would help a lot since I have to render dozens of images everyday for the director and PNG is too slow to save.
Will keep fingers crossed maybe in a few months.

Yes, made a note to push the priority up on this one.
Will it be OK to "remember" the settings for the Maya session only?
I.e. if you close Maya and open it up again - the format and path will reset.

Yes that would help a lot. Even if its only for the current session.

OK. That would be easier to implement, as opposed to 'persistently' remembering the settings between sessions.
