  • render beauty result with object/geo id?

HI is it possible to render master layer with the output result look like renderID passes, is there any texture utilities to create this?
renderID passes is too flat and jagged so im planning combining it with AO pass

    Thanks.

Could you post an example image?

HI something like this, vray has render element ID, but my goal need to combine with AO also can render at beauty render. (actually its for reducing cut thru in animation so i plan to do ambient occlusion pass, since playblast not so visible.)

Sure but it won't look exactly like the render id, since that element is generated at render time. You can however use multisubtex give it some id colors and set it to get id from render id and you will get random colors. I like this option better because you actually have control of what the colors are. You can also use same principal if you use sampler info node and add vray outputs to it, then plug random by id into a ramp coord V then set the ramp to have several colors (the idea is the same).

Hi Morbid, thanks for information. im not sure how to achieve this using multisub tex,
i trying to create to piece geometry, create new Vray material, the diffuse texture plug with Multisubtext (switch to get ID from render ID), the rgba still gray. im not sure about the second how to use the sampler info node. can you explain a bit more?

          Thanks

edit : i try the second way, its working now, Thanks!
