Hypershade speed

Ok so heres one....so in the vray video about the rendermask isolated select...about 30secs...look at how fast the hypershade opens? Mine is well slow. Was the video sped up? How, who, why, what etc

I don't remember if there was editing done to the video (it was done quite some time ago), so it's hard to tell right now.
At the same time, it looks like the hypershade has been opened beforehand and all swatches had completed rendering. Without any changes done before bringing it up again, there was nothing to re-render.
