Hi,
In Maya, the traditional lights have an option in the light shape attributes called "Illuminate by default". Arnold lights also have this option.
That option MEAN that the light would be disconnected from any geometry. And it is necessary to use the lighting linking to connect geometry.
The good of this option is that if you duplicate an object or duplicate the light itself. It will not re-connect to all elements and we have to again disconnect using the light linking.
I can not see this option in the Vray Lights. Is something that I am missing? If not, it is something to complicated to be implemented? This option is very very useful for not waste time every time that a Light is duplicated.
