  • Exclude Vray Sky in Render?

    Hi,

I'm rendering out an animation, with aov-embedded exr's, and I'd like to render my frames without the sky included in the beauty pass.

Is there a way to easily do this? Is there an attribute where I can make the sky non-renderable, but keep it in the gi calculations, reflections...etc?

I think I found where I might be able to do this - in the environment override are of the render settings, but I'm unable to alter the 'texture' to just make it render against black.

I'm attaching an image to the settings I'm referring to.

    Thanks in advance!

    Matt

I think you can use the sky as a texture on a dome light and set the light to invisible.

        Thanks, TheScope, I'll try that.

seandunderdale, that's what I was trying to do, but I don't know how. Can you show me, please?

        Thanks,

        Matt
