Hi,
wanted to ask if there is a simple way to create a 2d effect with Vray for Maya and or Nuke,
This is the look I'm after,

I have tried using the Vray Toon shader however when i change light colours or use any light that is not completely directional, it starts to look 3d again,
I have also considered the diffuse pass but dont know how to incorporate the lighting since the shadows and lights have soft edges and make the piece 3d again, even when using directional lights, is there a way to 2d shadows and lights?
A script would do too,
Hope what I said makes sense, it's my first post here, but ultimately what I'm looking for is how to achieve a blocky 2d look,
Best,
M
