Running multiple versions of Maya with V-Ray

We are using V-Ray 5 with Maya 2018.4 Would it be a problem to install Maya 2022 also and install V-Ray with that too. Would running 2 V-Ray installs with 2 Maya's cause any issues?
Only for the time to transition some projects.

Also does anyone recommend a version of Maya they find is the most stable, rather than installing the latest version?

You can install various versions of vray on a network drive (Installation from zip https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ation+from+zip) and then load maya via a .bat file with the explicit environment variables to call the vray version you want. This allows you to have maya versions and vray versions or plugin versions per specific project. So you just give artists the bat file to load for a specific project if you want consistency. They will need to have the version of maya you want to load on their machine but vray can be from a network drive. (maya scripts, shelves etc could be from your network drive as well if you wanted)

In terms of a stable maya version..I thought 2009 was quite stable lol.

I just wanted to note that whenever you use the zip builds, you need to make sure that you don't have V-Ray installed for the same Maya version, otherwise they will conflict.
