  • Animating with Vray bake options

    Hi,
I'm currently using Vray to create animated lightmaps for a game. (Using Vray Next)
The way I'm currently doing this is simply selecting the object, and rendering the sequence using the Animation and Bake Engine Settings in the normal render settings dialog.
This is fine for a single object. But I've got a bunch of objects which need baking for the full effect, which is a bit of a pain...
For static images I'd use vray bake options, but they dont seem to support animation.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?
Is this supported in a later version of Vray, like Vray 5?
I've looked at the Vray scripting commands, but couldn't see anything obvious that would help. Maybe I'm missing something.

The V-Ray baking options work fine with animation from what I tested (V-Ray NEXT). Assign "V-Ray bake options" to the objects through the toolbar shortcut. Afterward, right-click the shortcut and select V-Ray baking options. Set those up as you please and click Bake. Make sure Animation is enabled in the Common settings. Here is an example scene.

Doh! why didn't I think of that?
For some reason I expected it to be in bake options, like Arnold, but of course it would just use the render settings animation, why wouldn't it.
      Thanks for your help
