Hi Muhammed, sorry for bothering you again on this topic. Is it normal that all hypershade is much significantly darker using ACES color space management?

Hey Karol, Viewport should be ACES sRGB(like the frame buffer and material viewer), and the material viewer seems to be fine to me. it is a bit darker compared to usual because of the contrast the ACES sRGB Output Transform uses
Can you show me the settings for the file node for this material, to make sure the setup is all correct?
On another note, I'm updating the ACES docs now. I will ping you when this is ready, it should answer most of the questions on the workflow
Hi Muhammed_Hamed , sorry for the late reply.
I am still trying to get my head around ACES.
At work I am doing it with alternative, less invasive method using AMPAS tonemapping inside VFB and it works relatively fine.
At home I followed the official docs, pointing Maya to downloaded .ocio file etc. but I am having big issues with colors.
1. Color picker, never matches hypershade sample preview. (attached example)
I believed in 3ds max videos regarding ACES people use a VRay node for color values with changed color space. Does it have to be done in Maya as well? I got no luck with VRay user color node.

I'm making a video on ACES setup in Maya, I will ping you when it is live. there is also an updated to documentation soon about this
About color picking check my post here
I hope this helps until I post my video, or if you have specific questions let me know
I am really looking forward to it, as I am trying to push ACES into our workflow but obiously I want to understand everything as best as possible before trying to explain it to others.
Will look into your post now, thank you very much.
Much appreciate it!
best regards,
Karol

Good luck!
I spent time on adapting my previous 2 studios to ACES, this topic touches on quality so it was worth the effort at the end, and I learned a lot from this experience. I know that both places are still using ACES until now which makes me happy
This is an older video on ACES in the frame buffer,
Which I will cover briefly in the new video as well
On another note, Color picking in Maya and the native color management are both great. Much better than 3Ds Max, as you have control over what you use, 3Ds Max actually doesn't have any native color management.
Thanks!
My initial experience with ACES is rather positive, so far I did two projects with it and I love the way colors blends together and everything has that extra "pop up" effects which was super difficult to get with sRGB.
Also the burn is so, so much easier to avoid.
The biggest challenge so far is to match textures from photoshop to what you see in the actual render. Everything is much darker and saturdated to the extend I often had to boost their exposure / desaturate them.
I also find the lights temperature challenging too.
Here are some samples and the settings I've used. I have a feeling that I still mess something up.

This looks fine to me, I think your settings are correct. The ACES look has more contrast by nature, hence you see the difference
You will need to adjust your lights/exposure to be brighter
And there is a way of having a perfect match for a logo/texture if needs be, keep in mind that all the ACES transforms are reversable including the tonemapped version. I will touch on this in details in my video
And in the link above, I explained the part about matching a logo. Basically you need to load it with an IDT ACES sRGB in stead of the usually Utility sRGB Texture
